As part of our job as the providers of medical services, we are legally obliged to collect and to store personal data. In accordance with Art. 13 of the EU-GDPR, the data subject is informed at the time of collecting the data. 3. Purposes and legal basis of the data processing
The purpose of storing, processing and collecting your personal data is to provide and to invoice our medical services, all in accordance with the legal regulations.
The legal basis for the collection, documentation and the archiving obligations of data are build upon the code of ethics for doctors, the regulations of the Code of Social Law and in the case the provision of radiological services, upon the X-ray regulations.
4. Data storage duration
The Legal regulations listed in point 3 say, that collected data has to be saved for at least 10 years and for a maximum of 30 years.
5. Information regarding your rights
a) Information:
You are entitled to receive at any time information about which data are being stored.
b) Correction:
You are entitled to have your data corrected at any time.
c) Deletion:
You are entitled to have the data deleted at any time provided this does not contradict any other legal regulations pertaining to its storage.
d) Objection:
You are entitled at any time to object to the processing, the use and the transferability of your data. As part of the provision of our medical services, however, we are legally obliged to document and save your personal data as well as medical services provided to you.
e) Complaint:
You can lodge a complaint at your data protection supervisory authority.
6. Why we need your data
The only purpose for the collection of data is to provide the best possible medical service possible, which is all for the good of your health. The lack of data may result in us not being able to provide treatment.
7. Data collection on our website
Our provider of the surgery website (www.gefaessmedizin.de) automatically collects and saves information in the so-called server log files which, depending on its configuration, your browser may automatically send to our providers. This information is:
– Browser type and browser version
– Operating system used
– Querying URL
– Host name of the querying system
– Time of the query
– IP address of the querying computer
